The Grudge II  

After creating a successful online campaign for the Grudge, Egovision were commissioned to do the same for the Grudge II, and it turned out to be one of our most engaging campaigns ever. We designed an experiential website which focused on the key characters and utilised strong audio and visual elements from the film. However, the true star of the show was our viral game, The Cursed Room. The game was based in the house from the film, and players had to find clues to help them escape before they were attacked.
The game was truly addictive and provoked much debate both on the Hong Kong Legends forum, where a special message-board was set-up for players to share clues and theories, and in other game site forums, where The Cursed Room was seeded to. The site was still receiving almost two thousand visitors a day six months after the campaign was launched.
